hey, I'm Bruna
Staff Product Designer @Actabl, crazy about Design Systems, Innovation & AI, who enjoys highly creative ways of working.
From Brasilia, Brazil 🇧🇷.

but, who is Bruna
I'm a Staff Product Designer who thrives on solving complex, ambiguous problems—especially when it involves building something from scratch. With over 20 years of experience, I've evolved from a self-taught graphic designer into someone who shapes product strategy, builds design systems, and pioneers new ways of working.
I believe great design happens at the intersection of user needs, business goals, and technical constraints. My superpower? Taking messy, multi-product ecosystems and transforming them into cohesive experiences that actually make sense.
how did I get here
My journey started in advertising, but I quickly realized my passion was for the digital world. After working in agencies and studios, I moved to SĂŁo Paulo's startup scene in 2009, where I transformed into a UX Designer and eventually a Product Designer.
The real turning point came when I moved back to BrasĂlia in 2016 and worked for the government—it taught me leadership and mentorship in ways the private sector hadn't. But I missed the fast pace of digital products, so I returned to work with companies like Capgemini, Banco do Brasil, iFood, and Pipefy, each teaching me something new about scale, complexity, and impact.
what I do today
I'm currently a Staff Product Designer at Actabl, where I'm leading the convergence of 4 acquired hospitality products into one unified platform. I built our design system (Bellhop) from ground zero and established design practices that support cross-functional teams.
I'm also that designer who gets excited about AI tools and automation. I've created comprehensive component libraries for V0 and Figma Make, and when our analytics platform couldn't provide the data we needed, I built a custom NPS dashboard. I believe in creating solutions, not waiting for them.
Beyond my day job, I mentor younger designers, created Design Systems Brasileiros to showcase Brazilian design systems, and occasionally teach about Design Systems (you can find my classes on YouTube).
what drives me
I'm code-curious and systems-obsessed (VsCode + Claude + GitHub + AI —I built this portfolio). I believe designers should advocate for users while understanding business constraints and technical feasibility. The best solutions come from collaborative work with product managers, researchers, engineers, and stakeholders who challenge each other to think bigger.
I'm fascinated by how things work (yes, I actually read manuals) and energized by the challenge of making complex systems feel simple. Whether it's building design operations from scratch, establishing governance frameworks, or mentoring junior designers, I'm always looking for ways to elevate the craft and create lasting impact.
